* Variety of plant and pollination books, apps, or websites
* 5 plants per team or to use as a class demonstration:
Plant #1 labeled 1: tropical plant- has big green leaves/ rarely flowers/ foliage is the main attraction
Plant #2 succulent plant- like a cactus- has thick green stems and no leaves/ usually covered by sharp spines or other types of succulents- have fleshy leaves and stems/lack spines
Plant #3 (1/2 aquatic plants)- like a Ceratophyllum (succulent)- freshwater aquatic plant that has a rough texture and stem tips with crowded leaves. Grows completely submerged at the surface of the water- no roots OR
* Plant #4 Zebrina- flowering plant
* Plant #5 Ryegrass- typical lawn grass
Variety of Flowers for each student or air of students

Access to the Internet (using kidrex.org (google for kids) will help students find more appropriate sources of information based on their search
Creative materials (glue, markers, crayons, etc. to build visual displays of habitat)
Various materials to create a model habitat for a caterpillar (cardboard, leaves, construction paper, optional- shoe boxes etc.)
clear plastic trash bag filled wit about 4 lbs of clean, safe trash some of the trash should be reducible (cereal box, water bottles, or paper towels), some should be reusable (unmarked construction paper or copy paper), some should be recyclable (soda cans, or newspaper), and some should be compostable (banana peels, apple cores, or lettuce.) {Keep this bag of trash for Day 1-3}
