⭐️ Teaching digital citizenship to elementary students allows students to better understand their rights and responsibilities on the Internet. Creating a community with citizenship lessons that cover expectations and virtual safety is essential inside of the classroom and inside your online classroom.

This packet discusses media balance and well-being with a focus on the rings of responsibility- self, community, and the world, privacy and security with a focus on password protection, digital footprints and identity with a focus on what you share and the effects on this information or image, relationships and communication with a focus creating a digital citizenship pledge for your online space, cyberbullying with a focus on the power of words, and news and media literacy with a focus on determining if the information or image is real or altered.

This packet will take about 6 class periods to review all aspects of digital citizenship in the third-grade classroom.
