One Tired Teacher Bonus Episode: Why Teacherpreneurs SHOULD Be Podcasting in Their Teacher Business

Podcasting

Have you ever thought about diving into the world of teacher entrepreneurship otherwise known as a teacherpreneur? Most teachers have some really incredible skills, like thinking fast on their feet, putting out small fires on a daily basis, analyzing data to determine which direction to take (we certainly do a lot of that!), and often making something out of nothing. Did you know that these skills can be a great asset to entrepreneurs?

I know for me, I started this podcast because I was both a teacher and a teacherpreneur. I’ll be honest, my journey in the teacherprenuer world has not gone as great as I had hoped. I make a little more than half what I did as a teacher. And when I resigned a year and a half ago, I was under the misguided illusion that I would be able to double that since I was more than doubling my efforts and time on TpT. But the hard truth was I didn’t double it. I increased it by about 24%, which is great, but not quite enough to make up for my teaching salary and the additional money I was making on tpt prior to quitting. I guess the first thing I needed to do was get better at math. I didn’t just need a 50% growth, I needed a 267% growth. So my decision to burn the ships may have leaned more towards the financially irresponsible side rather than the brave side I was hoping for.

Join me as I share why you should consider podcasting if you are a teacherpreneur if you want to be.
